
Derek H. Hoffine
Executive Vice President
Derek H. Hoffine joined Hensel Phelps in 2002 after graduating from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology. He is currently the Executive Vice President, based out of the Greeley, Colorado office.
Derek began his career with Hensel Phelps as a Field Engineer and advanced through various roles, including Office Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Operations Manager. In 2021, he was appointed Regional Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Region, and in January 2025, he became Executive Vice President.
Over the past twenty years, Derek has managed projects across Nebraska, South Carolina, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Florida, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. In his current role, he oversees the management and execution of projects in the Central and Western United States, including the Rocky Mountain, Southcentral, and Pacific Northwest regional offices, as well as Hensel Phelps’ Water business group.
Derek also chairs the Workforce Development Committee for Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) National, supporting workforce development and training initiatives.
